The Anoka-Ramsey Community College Women's Soccer team traveled to Toms River, New Jersey this past weekend for the NJCAA Division III National Tournament and finished sixth overall.
In their quarterfinal matchup, the Golden Rams drew the #1 ranked team in the country in SUNY Broome and fell 6-0 to the eventual national champions.
Moving on the consolation semifinals Anoka-Ramsey pulled out a 2-0 win over Rowan College at Gloucester County.
Michaela Donat scored in the 39th minute give the Golden Rams a 1-0 lead at halftime.
Allison Bastyr would provide the two goal cushion with a goal in teh 69th minute.
Makayla Halford was fantastic in the goal stopping 11 shots for the shutout.
In the consolation championship the Golden Rams faced Brookdale Community College.
After a scoreless first period, Brookdale got on the board with goals in the 50th and 57th minute to take a 2-0 lead.
Jessica Miller-Ulmer scored off an assist from Donat to cut the deficit to 2-1, but Brookdale would respond with their third goal in the 75th minute to provide the final margin.
The Golden Rams were in the national tournament for the second time in their brief history and finished the season 14-3.
