Women's Soccer Beats Rain, DCTC

The Anoka-Ramsey Community College Women's Soccer team overcame a 20 minute lightning delay, and heavy rain, to defeat Dakota County Technical College 10-2 on Wednesday afternoon.

Michaela Donat scored the first two goals for the Golden Rams in the 9th and 30th minutes, followed by Jessica Miller-Ulmer scoring and Anoka-Ramsey led 3-2 at halftime.

Despite the delay and rain in the second half, the Golden Rams dominated play in the period.

Brittney Streit scored in the 50th minute off an assist from Jen Kisch.

Then Rochelle Perzel continued her strong offensive play scoring the first of her four goals in the 55th minute.

Allison Bastyr added another in the 57th minute, followed by two more from Perzel in the 76th and 78th minutes.

Kisch scored a goal of her own with the assist to Perzel in the 82nd minute, and Kisch returned the favor in assisting Perzel on her fourth goal in the 88th minute.

Anoka-Ramsey improves to 8-1 on the season and will play at Century College on Wednesday, October 5.  The Golden Rams defeated Century 8-1 in their first meeting.
