The Anoka-Ramsey Volleyball team battled thru two matches that each went the full 5 sets last weekend, beating Ridgewater 3-2 on Friday before falling to M|State 3-2 on Saturday.

Friday's match vs the Warriors saw the Golden Rams drop the first set 25-18, and the fourth 25-20 while winning the second and third both by scores of 25-18, and wrapping up the match 15-12.

In the fifth set the Golden Rams trailed 12-9 before rattling off six straight points.

Ashley Strang had 18 kills and 24 digs to lead Anoka-Ramsey.

Anastasia Vlasyuk had 13 kills.

Melissa Schmit recorded 31 assists.

On Saturday the Golden Rams once again dropped the first and fourth sets by scores of 25-19 in each.  And won the second and third 25-16, 25-23 respectively before falling 15-13 in the fifth.

Strang had 26 kills, while Vlasyuk added 25.  Schmit had 41 assists and four serving aces.

Anoka-Ramsey 2-6 overall, 1-1 in the MCAC and will host St. Cloud Tech on Wednesday at 6:30pm.
