The Anoka-Ramsey Community College Women's Soccer team claimed the Region XIII Championship on Sunday afternoon with a 5-0 victory over Century College.

Both teams started slow on a cold, windy day, but Michaela Donat gave the Golden Rams a 1-0 halftime lead with a goal in the 27th minute.

The Golden Rams speed and athleticism wore down Century in the second half.

Donat scored her second goal in the 65th minute, followed by Rochelle Perzel in the 73rd minute.

Kalley Malley would notch a goal of her own in the 84th minute and Perzel would add the final touches in the 88th minute.

Goalkeeper Makayla Halford stopped six shots.

Head Coach Brady Eichhorn-Hicks was named the Region XIII Coach of the Year.

The Golden Rams will play in the District Championship game Saturday, October 29th.  Time and location are to be determined.
