Men's Basketball Defeats Minnesota West 83-61

The Anoka-Ramsey Community College Men's Basketball team traveled to Minnesota West on Saturday afternoon and came away with a 83-61 win.

The Golden Rams used an early second half run to pull away after leading by nine at halftime.

After connecting on 7 of 13 three-point field goals in the first half, the Golden Rams found room inside in the second half and hit 64 percent of their second half field goals to finish at 55.1 percent for the game.

Minnesota West shot just 35.3 percent overall.

The Golden Rams outrebounded the Bluejays 35-20 and hit 18 of 19 free throws.

Kevin Schramm scored 15 points on 4 of 6 shooting and 6 of 7 from the free throw line.

Mamadou Ngom finished with 14 points making 5 of 9 shots.

Edvonte Copeland scored 12 points and Malik Williams scored 11.

The Golden Rams are 22-3 overall, 10-2 in MCAC Southern Division.

Anoka-Ramsey will host Rochester on Wednesday, February 22 at 7:45pm.
