The Anoka-Ramsey Community College Men's Basketball team topped 100 points for the third straight game in defeating Milwaukee Area Tech 101-80 on Thursday evening.
Anoka-Ramsey jumped ahead 17-9 early in the game as five of their first six field goals came from behind the three-point line.
Milwaukee fought back and tied the score at 22 before Ben Brown connected from long range to put the Golden Rams back up by three.
A breakaway dunk by Zane Lind then pushed the lead to 39-28.
Milwaukee cut the deficit back down to six 43-37 but a 9-0 burst to end the half capped by a three-pointer from Chris Morgan and a steal and layup from Edvonte Copeland as Anoka-Ramsey led 52-37 at the break.
The Stormers kept pushing the Golden Ram defense and chipped away to within 71-65 with ten minutes left.
Leading 75-68 with 7:35 to play, Anoka-Ramsey used a 16-4 run over just two minutes of action to pull away for the win.
The Golden Rams shot 42.7 percent overall and made 12 of 34 three-pointers.
Milwaukee shot just 38 percent.
The Golden Rams held a 48-39 rebounding advantage thanks largely to 19 rebounds from Zane Lind who also scored eight points.
Anoka-Ramsey also made 19 of 23 from the free throw line.
Copeland scored 22 of his 31 points in the first half and finished 5 of 8 from the three-point line and made all ten of his free throw attempts.
Kevin Schramm scored 15 points.
Mamadou Ngom scored 13 points to go with seven rebounds and four assists.
Chris Morgan scored 12 points making two three-pointers.
Brown contributed nine points making 3 of 5 from deep.
The Golden Rams are 4-0 overall and will host the University of St. Thomas JV on Monday, November 21 at 7:00pm
