Chris Johnson was hired in the spring of 2024 to lead the Golden Rams Clay Target program which will begin competing in the 2024-25 academic year.
The inaugural season for the Golden Rams was a success as Cadence Werth finished 9th in the MCAC Championships. During the regular season Samantha Schulz, Leah LaFlamme, and Allie Fossum tied for 3rd overall in the women's division. LaFlamme scored the program's first perfect 50. On the men's side Isaac Steffen finished 8th overall during the regular season and had two perfect rounds of 25.
Chris has been the Cambridge-Isanti High School trap coach since 2013 and will continue to operate in that role along with heading up the Golden Rams.
Coach Johnson also teaches at Cambridge-Isanti High School, and is a 1999 graduate of Anoka-Ramsey Community College along with earning degrees from the University of Minnesota and College of St. Scholastica.
